WHY ARTS FOR EVERETT, INC?
A core value at Arts for Everett, Inc. is that creative artmaking benefits all who participate and that creating art in community helps to build and strengthen connections between neighbors. We provide resources for adults and children to explore freely and in doing so, open doors to self-expression. Our goal is to foster creativity by encouraging intuitive practices, helping to build innate skill sets and develop new modes of expression.
We believe that artmaking improves community engagement by giving opportunities to access our humanity. In a 2023 report published by the University of California Irvine, researchers found that community-oriented frameworks for arts education “can help young people build connections with their culture, identity, home lives, communities, professional artists, and future aspirations.” Arts For Everett centers these frameworks and puts them into practice.
